The term, free-range eggs, is no more than consumer fraud. Every prospective client that I meet about eggs and show videos of our Eggmobile based system to, tells me that they already buy free-range eggs. I then have to explain to them that the eggs that they buy are from barn-raised hens and have never and will never be free to range.
In addition to this, there is an even bigger problem with these ‘free-range’ hens, and that is that their housing is fixed, as opposed to our Eggmobiles which move daily to fresh pasture. This means they remain in touch with their manure for their entire lives putting them under disease pressure and most importantly their manure builds up and it is a very big problem to remove and it pollutes wherever it is dumped.

Our eggs are some of the best you’ll find on the market and we’re not just saying that. Not only are they glyphosate free, but they’re also laid by outdoor chickens, not your typical ‘free-range’ chickens. What this means is that they are truly free to roam. While they are housed in movable Eggmobiles, this is only for them to lay their eggs in and to sleep in at night.

One of their goals is to have a travelling university of Agroecology. She also made this video of her interview with me on the farm. It’s strange to watch this in late winter whilst the farm is still wet and cold as opposed to the heat of December.
