Cooking with PJ Vadas

This month, we’re making pork scratchings! Firstly if you like anything related to pork, choose your pork very carefully. Make sure they are free of added nitrates and nitrites. Farmer Angus family and friends

Madeleine Germishuis joined our team in early June. Mads is our first professional salesperson. It feels like a quantum leap to have someone of her calibre on board our team. She works very closely with Pascal who we are also blessed to have on the team.
What inspires me

This month it has to be the amazing Johnny Clegg. At the age of 10 (1983), I first attended one of his concerts. Zulu was the first language I spoke and I always strived to speak like Clegg and more importantly know as much about Zulu culture as he did.
His immersion into Zulu culture happened near where I was born in Weenen (that is the Afrikaans name which means the Place of Weeping, the Zulu name is Kwanobamba which means the Place where we caught Them. An illustration of our bloody history and a victory for the Zulus there during the Zulu-Boer war). Rest in Peace Johnny.
